Hey Hey!  I caught this tagged Walleye, Saturday, May 6th in Good Hope Bay.  My two friends and I noticed a "tight" school of fish at about 20 feet deep, along a large boulder field, we positioned ourselves over the school and boated 4 Walleye and missed several other bites.  We were vertical jigging using soft plastics on 1/4 ounce jigs, tipped with 1/2 of a night crawler.  I caught the tagged fish on a white, 4" twister tail grub, but also had good success with crayfish pattern plastics throughout our trip.  The bite is very subtle, as if your lure has simply gained weight!  I let the fish have the bait for a second or two and then set the hook.  I caught this fish around 5 in the evening during a break in the gusty winds.  Wind makes walleye fishing much more difficult because its harder to sense that gentile bite.  The wind picked up and we retreated to camp for a delicious fish fry.    Bill Schaeferbillschaefer
