We cannot save the old Bulletin Board. The option we are now pursuing is to use an online chat line hosted by another server. This is a difficult time as I will be gone often now for on lake work with fish sampling. If you have a suggestion or have used a chat line that works well, please let me know and we will try to get it going as soon as possible. I hope that we can post pictures easily on the new chat board. I do not want to be boggd down by excessive advertising on hte new chat line. I will update fishing data as quickly as possible to keep fresh information available for your benefit when coming for a fall fishing trip.
Sorry for the loss of the Bulletin Board. We are having issues with hackers corrupting our files. The plan now is to start over with a new Bulletin Board. All the old files will be lost. We will upgrade the software and try to get it all working again as soon as possible. The biggest problem is that I do not have enough technical computer knowledge to make the changeover and Ron does not have the time. If there is a computer wizard out there that can give us advice on how to make the changes with the least down time, please contact me at waynegustaveson@ utah.gov or call me at 928 645 2392 As soon as we are up and running again we will switch the site over to a new host - for better or worse. Thanks
Welcome to Lake Powell. My purpose is to provide needed information that will make it easier for you to plan a trip to the lake. Many come for the beauty and solitude of the area, others for fishing or water recreation. Whatever your reason, I hope this site helps make your visit more enjoyable.
I manage Lake Powell Fisheries. I have discovered that offering specific fishing information allows anglers to harvest more striped bass thereby improving population balance and fishing success for all species.
Lake Powell has incredible beauty and is the jewel of the Colorado River. Find your way by working through the menu on the left to discover many pictures and much information about these wild and scenic places. You can ask questions on the Message Board and receive answers from many lake regular users. You can provide reports on your visit and help others discover the wonders that you found.
The shoreline stretches over 1800 miles. It can't be seen in one trip. We are here to help.
Just a note, the site is continually upgraded. It will continue to change - hopefully for the better.
Look at the new fishing license rules in the left index. AZ no longer offers a stamp to fish across the state line. Only a UT fishing license is needed to fish in Lake Powell.
