Launch Areas – Please do not park blocking launching areas.

 

North Concrete Ramp- Open, waterlevel at end of concrete, bet launch area with small coutesty dock.  

 

South Gravel Ramp - Open

 

Farley Launch Area – Open, 4WD recommended

 

Blue Notch Launch Ramp – Open, 4WD recommended

 

Colorado River Take Out Ramp – Open, 4WD, limited parking space due to high water

 

 

 

North (concrete) launch ramp:  

 

Water elevation 3654. Water level has now declined to leading edge of ramp.

Fishing: October 22 report

  • Striped Bass – Good, some boils at North Wash and up river.

  • Large Mouth Bass- good in White and Farleys

  • Small Mouth Bass- fair to good, in back of Farley & White Canyon’s

  • Catfish- fair, along river channel shorelines using hotdogs or any stink bait

  • Crappie- fair to good in White Canyon

  • Walleye- very good, in White Canyon and mouth of farley Canyon. 

 

Invasive Aquatic Species Certification Process:

Self Certification available online or at Ranger Station when no watercraft inspector is present.  Must be visibly displayed in all vehicles associated with watercraft trailers.

  • Hite Main Shoreline Access- dirt; low to medium clearance 2WD recommended
  • Farley Canyon Road– gravel road; medium clearance 4WD recommended for access to lake
  • White Canyon West Access Road – sandy & dirt; medium clearance 4WD recommended, no vehicle access to lake
  • Blue Notch Canyon Road – dirt; medium to high clearance 4WD recommended
  • Orange Cliffs Backcountry Roads –  dirt; high clearance 4WD, extra water, food, & fuel recommended
  • Dirty Devil River Access Road Closed
  • Dirty Devil Campground- dirt; low clearance 2WD, lake access is a short hike down sandstone slope
