Good jig bite today considering it was 1 day after the latest cold front and I only spent 2 hours fishing the jig.
Started out looking for stripers and crappie in Navajo but blanked. The crappie trees are inundated with chocolate milk colored water.
We tried trolling for stripers in a usually reliable spot, but they were't there this time. Only a solo smallie for our trolling efforts. About 1:30 we moved to Warm Creek and did some more striper trolling for 30 minutes again with only 1 smallie before settling on fishing the trees for bass. The jig bite was much better. I landed 3 LM over 2.25 with the heaviest being 3.5. My partner had 3 on a shakey head but they all came unbuttoned. The bass are very fat right now, heavy in their pre-spawn condition. You wanted pics Dale, well...
