Hey Wayne! Here are a couple pics from our trip last weekend had some success on the Alabama rig on stripers and pulled out some bass with jigs. Sunday we were one of four boats that launched... I think the rain and giant storm clouds chased a few people off. Really was a beautifull day of fishing.
My Dad and I had my moms cousin Mike down from Alaska and so we thought what the heck he thinks this weather is great so lets go! Water temp was around 51 F in warm creek. Bass were caught on hula grubs and jigs fished slow in the brush (I know its a shocker!)
Saw some fish suspended on the graph in about 26ft of water heading into a cove and thought what the heck lets cast the Alabama rig, let'r sink down and slow roll it back. First cast striper! (I added gold willow blades to the top two wires and three swim baits to the others if anybody was wondering.)
Caught one more striper and had some fun then went back to what we love and caught some more bass (super healthy!!). It was a fun day on the lake!
