Neat Walleye trick,,, maybe

But the things are so good in a frying pan I may revise my approach this year. A few weeks ago one of my back east customers turned me on to a walleye trick he uses and swears by.
He likes to use a 1/4 oz spinnerbait slow-rolling along the bottom that has a small stinger hook trailing off the main hook. He hooks a whole live nightcrawler at its head on the main hook,, stretches the thing out,, then catches the crawler on the stinger treble somewhere back on the crawler's length so it stays stretched out as much as possible without balling up..
He says some guys rig a crankbait that way,, but the small spinnerbait works better because it can bounce, thump and bump along the bottom without getting hung up as much.
Sounded like a pretty hot idea to me.. Enough so that I added some stinger hooks to the "Tackle Box" button on our site; http://www.wildharebaits.com/thetacklebox/stingerhooks.html
I think I'll be trying this first chance back to the lake at the only place I've caught any eyes with some regularity,,, that would be at Friendship Cove, left side going in, from the shallow flats at the mouth all the way back to "Fish Rock".
