Quick Hite report *LINK*

Just returned from the weekend at Hite. Saturday the trolling was good, 22 fat stripers for 4 hours trolling. We got off the lake at 4 PM just ahead of a raging squall. The wind tried to take the tent apart and rolled the lake up all night long. By morning it was COLD and the fairly clear, 62º water had turned brown and the water temperature had dropped to 49º. The same 4 hours yielded 5 stripers. Last night cold again but no more wind. This morning the brown lake had turned very green. It's amazing how fast algae responds to a stirring up of nutrients. Mondo and Dave (Hillbilly) are camped in North Wash and can fill in the rest for any of you that are going down this week. I think they are down until next weekend.
That's it for us until spring. Another great year at Lake Powell and the fattest stripers we've ever caught in the freezer. By the way, Dave has that striper jerky figured out. THANKS DAVE!
P.S. On Sunday the water temperature in Striper City was 10º warmer than at Hite, 59º.
